How do I quickly thaw these pork chops?

I put the frozen chops at the bottom of the fridge but they are still rock solid. I need to cook now, how do you quickly thaw pork chops.

I heard that you aren't supposed to run meat under hot water.

Also, for future reference what is the best way to quickly thaw meat (chicken, beef) if the refrigerator method fails. How do I quickly thaw these pork chops?
defrosting is the only thing i use our microwave for !!!!How do I quickly thaw these pork chops?
I never ever defrost any of my meat or any other food. All you have to do is put the meat in a bowl of warm water and it will not hurt the meat since the meat is already cold and frozen. It should thaw quickly in about half an hour. Another tip you could set your meat out in the morning so it can be fully thawed by whatever dinner time you cook at.
you can do it the old fashioned restaurant way, practically every restaurant has frozen meats that need to be prepped for the nights service. the chefs will either take their meats out of the freezer and place it into the cooler (which is how you were doing it) they also will take their meat and place it into the sink and run COLD water on it until it thaws. its a lot faster this way (which is what you want) just remember the water has to be COLD!!!

good luck
You can cook those frozen. Just run them under cold water until you can separate them using a fork and then go ahead and start cooking as usual. All meat can be cooked while still frozen.
Yes, the defrost setting on the microwave is probably the fastest though it sometimes starts to cook the outer edges a little.

It's perfectly fine to run meat under COLD water. That works too and is probably the best way of defrosting frozen meat, assuming you have the time.
Place in a sink or bowl of cold water.

I always leave mine out, but not in the sun of course.
play hot potato and pass the pork chops to a friend
Wrap them in plactic wrap and put in a big bowl of water. Place in microwave, using the ';defrost setting'; for about a min or longer. When there defrosted make sure you cook them rite away or the meat will spoil.
I use the microwave...lay chops flat on plate and use full power for 30 seconds and flip them over and do 30 seconds on other side. If they are not thawed enough continue 30 seconds each side until thawed. Thicker chops take longer.
